eugenio_pastor_benjumeda 0 Posted October 10, 2007 I love this mountain. I was there ten years ago, just climbing "Piramide Vicent" -4200m- through Gnifetti Refuge and your image brings beautiful memories to me. Congratulations. 6/6. Link to comment
aloomens 0 Posted October 10, 2007 I like the way the clouds are echo the shape of the mountain. It makes it look like the storm is sneaking up to surprise the mountain. Nice shot! Link to comment

iliafarniev 13 Posted October 10, 2007 Impressive shot, Didier. Congratulations. Ilia. PS. Please let us know from where this shot is made? I plane to go to Monte Rosa next summer. Link to comment
didier 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Hi Ilia, the mountain is the LISKAMM (4505m) I crossed from West to East. It is famous for its long (3hours) and narrow ridge, which makes it one of the very interesting climbings in the Monte Rosa area. From the West summit from which I took the picture see here, we went down to the glacier and up to Monte Rosa Hut (upper right corner of the picture), the highest hut in the Alps (4550m). From there we crossed Dufouspitze (4634m) and Nordend (4610m), and then down to Zermatt. This climbing takes 3 days starting from Zertmatt. But you need to be well acclimatized before you start as you stay 3 day way over 4000m. Cheers Didier Link to comment
