davidmccracken 2 Posted October 9, 2007 The model loved her beads. Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
eimages 0 Posted October 9, 2007 This has a really classic feel to it. I like this a lot. Been off photo.net for a while, will try to post more. Alex Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted October 10, 2007 Alex, A coincidence that you passed a remark at this time. Coincidentally, I passed by your bio page the other day and did notice a lot of your images were gone. I also noticed your comments about your own pictures. Interestingly I was having dinner with a mutual friend just last night and she was asking for you. Getting back from dinner, I was more than happy to see you had stopped by. I am looking forward to more of your posts. Edwin, Indeed! Michael, You should try photographing her. Link to comment
stephanethemeze 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Hey David, Your lady-model has a stunning grace that shows even more in her pose and your capture.I do not know if other viewers felt that in the end wherever you start looking you get attracted by her face and look which command more light than the rest of her( by the way is it from lighting or post-production work?). Nice touch. I will have to come back later to it cause I have a comment about the tension in her neck but it's not clear yet. Last but not least of it. I like it. Thanks for your comment on My Invitation door. Not too much leeway to straighten that distorsion on the door frame unless you got tips. And...Any recommendation in lighting equipment(Not big the budget)to seriously start taking This kind of photograph? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 12, 2007 I get to comment on this one before Owen does! I'll keep it brief: It's one of your best. Link to comment
amilarakis 0 Posted October 12, 2007 An excellent classic photo with nice lighting and perfect exposure. I like the black background. Congrats ! Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted October 12, 2007 I truly think this is the best pure portrait you have posted on this site and I hope you put it on PP as well. The placement of the model is superb and the tonal range is fantastic. This woman is breathtaking and deserves black and white. Bravo for this one mate, bravo. PS. Jim may have commented before me but my comment is better than his. -Owen Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 13, 2007 Stephane, Very kind words on this image. I am sure the model herself will be impressed. In truth, this model was so easy to work with, anyone could take good photos of her. The lighting is pretty much as is. I may have teaked the contrast a tiny bit post shoot. As for straightening door frames, you could try playing around with the perspective tool in PS. If I have time later I may have a go myself. Thanks a lot. Jim, Thanks a lot. I am sure if Owen does comment, he won't say anything as nice as you. Alex, Thanks a lot. I am a fan of black backgrounds too. Not too many are. That said, I see Jim Adams is using a black background now. Owen, This young lady was kind enough to buy me a beer for taking her photograph. (That makes her very special indeed.) I wasn't going to put this on PP but I will since you have asked. I am aware this photograph is good. Self praise is no praise but as I have already said, the photo is good, more because of the model than me. Of course your comment is much better than Jim's. Please don't tell him I said so! Guest Guest Posted October 13, 2007 What really strikes me about this photograph is the seriousness of the shot. For me, it's on a different level from a lot of your previous work. And of course I agree with everything Owen said...he says it so much better than I do, anyway. There's also something about the tonality of the necklace that grabs me...I can't put my finger on it...but it's something that I noticed right from the start.I would hope you have the opportunity to work with this lady again. Elstad 7 Posted January 21, 2011 Much has already been mentioned and being as how I am a most lazy man, I'll just agree. A Marvelous portrait my friend!!! -r- Link to comment
