bob_belanger 1 Posted October 8, 2007 Interesting composition. The colors on the horizon are great. The sky above the horizon almost looks like long sweeping brush strokes. Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted October 9, 2007 Thanks for stopping by, Bob. I didn't do it deliberately, nor do I know how it happened, but decided to leave it alone. Link to comment

amypang 0 Posted October 11, 2007 U hv create magic out of this ruins by using saturated and strong color. It seems u like high contrast images whether color or monochrome. This image is jumping out and is only trying to rationalize what m seeing. hope u don't mind. Anyway I like this image. Congrat for another piece of work. Link to comment
eye of the lens 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Hi Doug- very dreamlike quality. Must be a beautiful place. Did you use a burn tool on it? Barbara Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Even with all the wonderful colors, this place looks foreboding. Great image. Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted October 12, 2007 Thank you all for your kind remarks. It was a rather unique place. Barbara.... I didn't use a burn tool, but I did process it in HDR, which did fill in a fuller tonal range than the camera could reproduce with a single exposure. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted October 12, 2007 Hi Doug, I should have looked at this one first. This is wonderful. I love the sky, the horizon, the swamp. It is so beautiful, one of my present favorites by you. It would be wonderful as a painting. The colours are good, excellent composition, very dramatic. This looks more like the swamps I remember. I can almost feel the black flies and mosquitoes in my eyes and nostrils. Link to comment
bertr 0 Posted October 13, 2007 what a beautiful image. I love the juxtaposition of the three dominant colours. Just lovely...Bert Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted October 13, 2007 Thank you Linda, and thank you, Bert. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Linda, you'd have loved it. Not a bug anywhere. Must have been too early for them. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 14, 2007 I agree with Joseph T. I can almost envision a pterodactyl swooping through the shot. Now, with PS you could probably do that.... Na, it's perfect as it is. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted October 15, 2007 Lovely composition with eye-catching colours, esp the sky is beautiful. Link to comment

adan1 0 Posted October 16, 2007 The layers of colors are the first thing that one notices about this amazing composition. It feels prehistoric and alluring. I can't help but associate this picture with what earth looked like during its infancy. It's bewitchingly captivating. Link to comment
david israel 0 Posted October 18, 2007 Good Composition and colors... I like the lighting on the green marshes in the water. I think that makes the picture pop... Great work!! and nice portfolio too!!! David Israel Link to comment
