What an adventure that must of been, the people and places you saw, the joy in giving and sharing......bless you. I stare at this image and I can barely see the landscape, it seems so mysterious and far away. The clouds are flowing across the land as the sun slowly sinks across the Mara, so lovely Lou Ann.

Gorgeous sky and colours. I would suggest to lighten the ground area where we can guess a lot of details but not enough perceptible. See above (and it is even possible to do better).

Great sunset! I agree with Henri, a little more detail in the foreground will make the picture even better. I would suggest to try the shadow/highlight functionality in PS. For starters maybe a 15S/30H. Best wishes, Julio.

This is an outstanding photo. Right place, right time, nicely done, I love this planet, and the photographers on it! Well done Lou Ann

Nice shot, Lou Ann. I agree with Henry about the foreground; a nice layer mask with a screen blend mode at reduced opacity for the foreground might work well. I absolutely love the clouds.

Yeah, I really like what Henri has done with this. I like seeing the details in the fore- and middle ground. Excellent landscape, and a smashing sky! Great job, Lou Ann! Cheers! Chris

Wow, Chris - I had almost given up on you! :-) Thanks for the visit!

Okay, everyone ... what do you think of this version? I tried to fix the foreground. Thanks for the input!!

I like what you did with the foreground, Lou Ann. At some point in the waning years of my life on the planet, I am going to spend some time in Africa. It really is an ancient place and the cradle of modern humans. Hey, you seemed surprised at my presence, or lack thereof. I was only gone for just under a week. Work is keeping me very busy, and I've been traveling a lot; Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, etc. The Colorado River issues among the Basin States are heating up and keeping us incredibly busy. Checking in with PN, and a couple of other sites I'm on is something I try and do as frequently as possible, as it keeps me reasonably sane. Have a great weekend; and how's the job-hunting going? Stay in touch. Cheers! Chris

Hey, my friend, I could never be mad at you! You are one of the most wonderful people in the world here on PN. I'm flattered that you missed me. It really has been crazy with work. Some evenings I don't even have the energy to turn on the PC and see what's going on. Usually I default to a good book and bed! LOL! Take care, Lou Ann, and have a wonderful weekend in the Rockies! Cheers! Chris
