Fogged in

Any suggestions on how to deal with fog???

I like this shot wich is well composed, but i think that the fog could be improved by a black and white conversion. Regards, Alessandro.

George, I think you have done rather well here!

I remember getting quite confused (and so did my camera's metering system) when I first saw something through fog that I wanted to capture. Of course the camera reads all that white/gray as way too much of it and thus tends to under-expose, which I now understand. Having said that I would recommend shooting in RAW and also to bracket several shots!

Of course one can always 'play' with what you get in some image-editing software afterwards. You might want to see what I did with the shot I spoke about in my Extrapolations folder.
