This is a color version of this image. The B&W version is at the same

folder in my portfolio, if you would like to view both of them. It

would be interesting to hear, which one, would you prefer? Thank you

for your time and feedback!

P.S.

I have left the contrast as it was, this is an unmanipulated image.

(Just in case if someone would prefer a whole lot more contrasty version.)

Hello Alpo, very nice work, good DOF and sharpness, haven't seen the B&W version so I can't compare...little nit pick if I may - did you consider eliminating that small orange blob, top right and smaller one, top centre? I feel these are spoling it...enjoyed this and thanks for sharing, kind regards - June.

June: Hmm... Do you mean those blurred leaves that are just beside the top frame? At the right and at the center? To be honest, I really didn`t notice them at all. As this is unmanipulated photo, I think that I will leave them as they are. But, thank you for the suggestion!

Martijn: Oh, Tero has submitted such one also. I had not noticed it at all. But, as birch is the national tree of Finland, that doesn`t surprise me at all. This particular photo is connected to this one: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5791634

It was shot at the same location, but allmost half a year earlier. I have also many other birch-abstracts on my portfolio, as I really enjoy shooting them. :-)

Yes, Alpo, I was refering to those, a clone or a tiny crop down would get rid of them, but mines is just a suggestion, it's s fine shot - regards, June.

I love this nature abstract. Brilliant way to compose this with the golden colours peeping through the white birches.

Your composition is interesting because is diferent from others with same subject.I like here the yellow light in background that change the ballance to be not monotonous.I can say which of version is best because I like both of them.My best to you,Radu.

This is an awesome shot. Normally, I like tack sharp this just looks so great having front trees blurred and rear trees sharp, Perfect!

WOW! this is perfect! its so wrong how the background and edges are sharp and the foreground isnt, and how there is no centre figure... and yet all of this is so RIGHT! great shot! my god where is this??

Alpo, this works so well as an abstract, that it almost gets hard to recognize what you where shooting at in the first place; the golden tones of the leafs in the back add a lot to this. Congratulations on a superb abstract!
