jcpopper 0 Posted October 6, 2007 I really like the mood and composition and tones of this b&w, particularly the way the two walkers stand out against the snowy, hazy background. And thanks for your comment on my recent post. Coming from a shooter with your skill, I take it as a true compliment. Regards... Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 6, 2007 I, too, like how you've burned-in the two companions and lightened their surroundings. An effective way of managing the main emotional element of the picture. Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Very nice portrayal of friendship, Mehmet. The surroundings disappear or become less important, when one is with a close friend. You caught this perfectly. Regards, Barb Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted October 6, 2007 A very attractive composition. Our eyes move easily from bottom right to top left, and then gradually take in the details of the rest of the image. I like where you have placed the two figures. Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted October 8, 2007 A lovely composition, Mehmet. The children's darker clothing stands out so nicely against the very white surroundings. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted October 8, 2007 I suspect the original image might be quite nice, but I find this badly manipulated. While the 2 boys appear perfectly exposed, the rest of the image is overexposed and washed out; nothing really matches. I also find the excessive number of ratings in one category suspicious. This means that somebody has been "hunting" the image down through the submittal stack, just to give it a high rating, a good sign that some cheating is going on here. Most images are only visible for a limited amount of time, so once you get more than 15 ratings a rat starts to smell somewhere. Link to comment
terrygilroy 0 Posted October 8, 2007 Hi Mehmet, I am surprised at John's comments, I haven't looked at the ratings but for me this is a charming, gentle scene, well treated and the final image is great. Quite worthy of appearing on a Christmas card (if that is a compliment?) Regards Terry Link to comment
iren 1 Posted October 8, 2007 I am not sure what John is on about. I think the photo is wonderful. Made me want to go and make a cup of hot chocolate and curl up by the fire! As for the number of ratings...you have quality photos and it does get the attention it deserves. You truly have a special talent. I always appreciate and am honoured when you stop and take the time to look at my photos too. Kind Regards, Iren Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted October 9, 2007 A good composition with a "Norman Rockwell" feel. This would make a great postcard. Link to comment
