Thanks for stopping by. What I have discovered by trial and error is that I now approach fog/mist shots (where possible) to capture elements that are at varying distances: the ones closest to the camera allow more detail and color to be recorded while the ones further away have less color and detail. In this way it gives a bit of dynamic range to the image. This is not always possible but I strive for that.

Tony: This is my favorite of your recent uploads. It reminds me so much of Vermont where we lived in the early 1970's and where two of our children were born. This is a beautiful capture of the essence of this part of Canada where we once camped: the early morning mist on the lake, the white birch trees against the green fir trees, the brilliant-autumn maples, the smell of camp fires...this is all making is me miss the northeast so much. Hope to return to visit this beautiful part of the world some day. 7/7 with Blessings, Rebekah B.

Please let me know what you think about this image. Thanks.

The location is a few miles from the town of Masonnvile, Quebec (not

far from the Vermont USA border). The bright colors contrasted with

the muted colors of the fog and this appealed to me. I increased the

exposure slightly when I took this.

Tony - I think the colors in this are very fall feeling the mist and the reflection make the image for me - not to mention the white bark on the trees. Signs of fall for sure.

Thanks for the positive comments on this image. Fall is such an interesting time of year here where I live and it excites me to go out and see what I will find even if there is rain, mist, bright sunshine or any combination of those. I will be absent from PN until about Wednesday because I am planning a long week-end of photography. One is never quite sure what you will encounter but I will be just happy being in tune with nature, fresh air, fall colors, mountain vistas, water vistas and humbly try to capture one or two images that I can share here on PN.

What makes this special to me, is most folks can drag up a memory of being somewhere very similiar at one time or another. I loved Rebekah B's comment, I could almost taste the bacon cooking on that open fire. Have a good tramp and shall look forward to your new images. All the best............roger

An unmistakable scene of fall. The foggy background adds a bit of mystery to this colorful composition and make quite a contrasting statement against the colorful foreground. The only slight critique is the positioning of your watermark signature which is a bit distracting. Awesome capture.

Calm, rest, enjoy it is my view. That fog and the colors of the trees. The soft reflexions ... you have a beautiful view of framing, and giving the light with all these soft tones. Congrats with my best regards.
