lonebearimages 0 Posted December 5, 2007 This whole folder is terrific! This is a great shot, and is so quintessential Borderlands. I digress (common at my age) for a moment; have you seen "No Country for Old Men," at the theater yet? It is a movie, by the Coen brothers, on the book by Cormac McCarthy. My point is that the descriptions and landscapes written about by McCarthy remind me so much of your images, Doug. Somehow, you've managed to really convey the emotions, stark beauty, desolation, and the presence of people in this beautiful region of the southwestern United States. Thanks for sharing all these with us! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted December 6, 2007 Thank you one and all for the glowing and expressive comments. No question, I have a love affair with the American Southwest. Probably started as a youngster, when every Saturday afternoon matinee was a pair of Western movies at the local cinema. Chris - Thanks for the info. I haven't seen the movie but will seek it out for sure. Your own Western scenery is exceptional and your proximity to it leaves me ever envious. Still hoping to make the trip next Spring. lonebearimages 0 Posted December 6, 2007 For God's sakes, man; as you start planning this trip let me know; I'd love to meet up with you and spend some time with you. I really admire your work a lot, and would love to share some desert time with you. Give it some thought, and drop me a line sometime. Take care, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
