kahkityoong 0 Posted October 4, 2007 I have just finished my road trip in the Rockies. It has been an exhausting 3 weeks, with almost constant photographic & hiking pursuits from dawn to dusk. Lighting & weather conditions were often difficult; nevertheless I think I came away with some decent shots. This is a view of the Columbia Icefield in Jasper, a road that deserves its top billing as being one of the most scenic drives in the world. The shot really encapsulates a lot of what I felt driving up & down this amazing road. The tongue of the Athabasca Glacier can be seen on the right hand side. In the mean time I'll be relaxing in Montreal & Quebec for a couple of weeks before returning to Melbourne. Link to comment
jens-a 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Nice!=) Kinda scary, cause it looks like "asfalt taking over the world!!", hehe.. but I like the yello line, creating a invert of the blue sky. You did I nice suited camera placement and hooked up the right lens for this shot=) How about tiling the photo alittle , making some of the horisontal lines more horisontal? It kinda looks like the photo is tilting to the left. Link to comment

trisha jean-angela 3 Posted April 8, 2011 I love how the yellow lines of the road take one's eye to the horizon and just a speck of yellow from a road sign; I also love how the yellow lines and the blue sky pop against the neutral tones of the road and mountains. Really good eye for this one and great shot. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
