vancouverphotographer 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Nice tones ... I like the slight motion blur in her hair as well. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 4, 2007 I like the full delicate profile of the child Joseph, and her hair that are nicely taken aside to reveal her beautiful features. Very good exposure ,use of B/W conversion and well placed on the frame. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Thanks to all of you. I'm particularly flattered because I just put this shot in my portfolio and haven't even decided whether to post it for critique. I'm glad you like it, and I thank you again for taking the time to leave comments. Warm regards... Link to comment

glaucodattini 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Beautiful portrait. Generally I don't like the horizontal frame for the portraits, but in this case it matches well with this photo, because it let see the long hair raised by the wind, that makes the final touch. Best regards. Ciao! Glauco Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Thank you both for your kind and encouraging comments. Regards... Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 4, 2007 I couldn't agree with you more. In fact, this image was shot as a vertical. But when I studied the lovely curve of her widnblown hair, I thought, aha, if I crop carefully this might work better as a horizontal. So, we agree on both points. Thanks so much for your comment. dseltzer 0 Posted October 5, 2007 Hi Joe. The comments already made pretty well cover my thoughts in regard to elements of composition and technique... especially since I'm surely no expert. So, what I can add is that I, too, am very fond of this image. The expression and facing into the wind remind me of my granddaughter. I think she and this girl could be friends! jeffl7 0 Posted October 5, 2007 The horizontal framing gives space for the hair to blow and flutter. I also like the great dark space in front, which also adds some room to breathe. Nice tones. Very nicely done, Joseph. Link to comment
