I love this shot.

It reminded me of something...

When I was in the 4th grade... I found a leaf like this... and I thought it was really amazing and cool.. and some boy was like..."hey, can I see it??" and I said.."Sure" and handed it to him, and he smashed it... =[

I find this very appealing. I like the stark contrast of the leaf skeleton against the softness of its shadow. The texture of the porcelain adds a greater sense of depth than a plain background would have.

Beautiful and fragile - very original. The shadows under the leaf are somewhat distracting - I wonder how it would look if it were suspended above the porcelain plate far enough to eliminate the shadows or at least far enough to separate them? Best regards, Richard

Thank you, Richard, for your thoughts. I liked the way shadow appeared soft and leaf was really near end :), but I can see your point. There will be some kind of serie of these leaves soon in my portfolio, I took them mainly to see how they react with different lighing situations and different backgrounds... a s l a
