marlabmarrs 0 Posted September 30, 2007 I love this shot. It reminded me of something... When I was in the 4th grade... I found a leaf like this... and I thought it was really amazing and cool.. and some boy was like..."hey, can I see it??" and I said.."Sure" and handed it to him, and he smashed it... =[ Anyways, awesome shot. It's great! Link to comment
beaz 0 Posted October 1, 2007 I find this very appealing. I like the stark contrast of the leaf skeleton against the softness of its shadow. The texture of the porcelain adds a greater sense of depth than a plain background would have. Link to comment
rkynast 1 Posted October 7, 2007 Beautiful and fragile - very original. The shadows under the leaf are somewhat distracting - I wonder how it would look if it were suspended above the porcelain plate far enough to eliminate the shadows or at least far enough to separate them? aslavihervuori 0 Posted October 8, 2007 Thank you, Richard, for your thoughts. I liked the way shadow appeared soft and leaf was really near end :), but I can see your point. There will be some kind of serie of these leaves soon in my portfolio, I took them mainly to see how they react with different lighing situations and different backgrounds... a s l a Link to comment
