One of my old favorites (more than 40 years ago) and I still like it.

Hello Yves, This would be one of my favourites also if it were mine but perhaps I might have cropped just a little from the bottom to bring the horizon down a bit. I love the composition, the colour and the tonal balance within the composition and it communicates a great sense of calm and serenity to the viewer as the sun sinks. The composition also has excellent depth which is emphasised by the diagonal angles below the horizon and leading the eye out to the horizon. I love your picture of Saint Malo! I went there few weeks ago and it is still wonderful. Your picture could have been taken yesterday instead of 40 years ago, it will have been the same I guess ;o)
