I really like this picture, the composition is well done, but I especially like the tonality. What film did you use?

Battey, you charlatan! Give credit where credit's due! Tell them whose XPan you used (and whose scanner). Go on, tell them!

I have my own copy of this picture and while I wouldn't rotate a camera 45 degrees in a pink fit, that exact technique has worked well with this picture. I like this shot very much because it made me think about what is important in a photograph (and it isn't levelling the camera).

The camera turn stops being an irritating device and becomes appropriate when it introduces a new strong regularity in the geometry of the shot. Here it's the lower trunk running roughly along the bottom side. (remember Jean Gaumy shot of a man selling postcards on Champs Elysees, 1996)
