jongaus 0 Posted September 27, 2007 There are no category for cafe chairs. What do you think about the motif - and the colors? Link to comment
iliafarniev 13 Posted September 27, 2007 The colors are fine and in good balance. The filling is quiet and kind of lazy, like a summer holidays. Nice. Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted September 28, 2007 I'm glad you appreciate it. And you're right, it's from last summer holiday. What do you think about this processed version? Link to comment
iliafarniev 13 Posted September 28, 2007 I like the original version for its nice and quiet fill, everything is simple and recogniseble, warm and there is no sense of any challenge or stress. Conveys harmony and suny relaxation. The processed version is not appealint to me. I think the original fill is gone, colors are in disbalance, the green wall looks as camuflage army pants, sun light on the wall turned to something unobvious and the blue is too much.. Would say, the good thing of original is gone and the new PP thing is not achieved yet. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted September 28, 2007 A lovely, serene image with wonderful light and color. I much prefer this version. Regards... Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted September 29, 2007 Thanks for your evaluation, Ilia and Joseph. The alternative version was an attempt to emphasize the colored surfaces more than the actual motif. But you are right - the best result is probably achieved when the picture still is a Photography, and when any post processing is performed so subtle it's not noticed (this is my latest theory after discussions with Ilia about the theme :-) In this case, the original is not processed other than cropped, sharpened and histogram adjustmenst.
