The Hotel Marathon.....Texas

I thought about some minor cropping but decided I'd never seen

anything like this before, so left it full frame.Marathon is a

veritable Ghost Towwn in Texas.

Great subject, but I think the sky is distracting.

No argument there, Jim. It hurts the eyes. I left it that way because it seemed to fight with the all that refuse for supremacy. I will be doing another with more sky detail and subtlty, just out of curiousity. Many thanks for stopping by.

I like the "punch" of the whole distracting composition, I just keep staring and staring trying to sort out all that junk, I love it, has that HD look that folks achieve with multiple exposures. Very experimental and creative. The colors rock and the blown out sky suits it to a tee.

Susan - I did the same thing. Even did another with a soft pretty sky and it lost the impact completely. This simply is not a pretty picture, but it seemed to make the junk more interesting and palatable.
