I may like this one more than a lot of people will. The use of color is excellent and you have worked the tilt into the composition well. The semicircular form repeats and that is one of the features of the image that works for me. I am interested to see the comments that will come down the line.

David,

A very clever image, well thought out and shot. I love the graphic design of the image, and how the DJ seems to be spinning in rotation around the disc!

A very pretty young model; an eye-catching photo; and a 6/6 from me.

A quick tech question if you don't mind: How did you light her? I like the skin tones and shading.

Yours,

Glenwood

Owen, When I saw your comment I thought you were being a bit optomistic hoping for more critiques on this. Portraits rarely fly unless they are outstanding. This may (or may not) be a good portrait but I wouldn't say it is outstanding.

What I like about your comment is that you can see what I was trying to do. The tilt in this case, was indeed to give the thought of something revolving.

Sacha, Thnaks a lot. I try to be original. Sometimes I succeed.

Glenwood, You seem to see the same things that Owen sees. This does give me the feeling that I achieved what I set out to do. Thanks for that. The lighting in this particular case is simply a couple of flashes bounced of a couple of surfaces. One is set slightly stronger than the other to give the light some direction.

David,

Thanks for the insight into the lighting; as a newbie to studio lighting I am intrigued whenever I see it done really well.

As for Owen's (and yours) comments about the amount of interest shown by PN-ers to a particular image, I have found over the past year that I have been a PN-er that a well shot, conceived and composed image will never draw much attention without some T&A.

Keep shooting what you shoot, with, or without, the T&A; you are still one of the most clever, and creative (and, I might add, most irreverent!) of artists.

And I will still continue to wait for your postings with anticipation.

Yours,

Glenwood
