This was NOT taken on the safari. This shot is from the Rothschild Giraffe Center, right in Nairobi. It's a center for education about giraffes ... and I believe that they do some breeding there as well. Anyway - you can feed the giraffes and interact with them here. It's where I took the two pics of those beautiful little girls (same folder).

You know how much I like wider shots. I've got plenty of giraffe closeups that I will share soon. But I wanted to start with this one because it is definitely more appealing to my eye. I personally like the lighting ... it seems like layers, with the giraffe in the exact right layer to give us a good look at him eating. Your thoughts?

Lou Ann,

I really like the lighting in this photo quite a lot! This is a real keeper!

I just read your bio. I can't believe you quit your job. Do you know how jealous I am?

Hi Lou Ann, this a very nice photo, you have well captured its habitat. good light and well felt African Landscape. You really did not waste your time there ;-)) !

I haven't stopped by for awhile. This is a fine shot. I like seeing a contrast to the normally stretched feeding position for this bent-over feeding position. It must have been difficult to leave such a fantastic place. ~Sky
