whinterberger 0 Posted September 27, 2007 A most interesting shot , Henri. Almost a Grandma Moses feeling about it. Some may feel there are a little too many components in it , but I feel it works. Still, if one could just simplify the background a little ... Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Thank you Walter. You are right, it could be croped just above the field. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Great as is. Fantastic diagonal lines leading through the photo. I love the dotting of hay and small trees. The "clutter" in the background actually adds a human element that I like. The composition is rich and elemental. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted September 28, 2007 Henri, I'm with Jeff on this one. I like it as it is. Good decision to minimize the sky area though, a bit bland there. Great use of diagonal lines which divide the areas and excellent use of the trees, lower right, to break up the great mass of green grass there. Easy on the eyes. Best, LM. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted October 3, 2007 Henri, this is a lovely pastoral scene and you have used the light well to higlight the chalky trail, the hay bales and the buildings to lead our eyes around the picture. All these elements are necessary to create the scene of a village. The blue of the sky complements all the shades of green and its blandness is a good backdrop for so much detail. Don't crop.
