An expressive grey in its stable. What do you think?

i think it is great, and i wonder about the lighting... i shows the pride of these animals, very good photo (like so many of yours)

Florian, this was shot looking into the unlit stable stall. I metered for the horse and then underexposed by 2/3 stop. When I processed the raw file, I further pushed the blacks and increased the contrast.

 

Hope this describes what I've done well enough.

You've captured this animal's supreme annoyance very well. That sneer! It's like he's some sort of equine maitre d'. Thanks for not fouling this up by trying too hard to sharpen the mouth area - that would have taken away from it. Admirable restraint.
