Taken while having breakfast with a friend. I found it unusual and so I snapped it.

Focus is the only thing that keeps this image from being a damn near perfect still life composition. It makes one wonder if a certain beverage was involved.

Owen, Being honest with you I am not 100% sure if it is focus or movement that is causing the lack of sharpness. I would suspect it is movement. This was also taken through glass. Maybe when I have time I will go back and reshoot it.

 

No beverage was involved in this which may be the answer after all.

I like it, but what the Hell is it? Actually, the burst of color against the black form makes it for me. I can see why you would want to capture it.

 

The negative? The soft focus (like I should talk!) Sharper, and you would have a kick-ass image.

 

Cool concept, though.

Yes Glenwood! I appreciate the fact that you take a lot of time to comment on my photos. In this case I, perhaps, wish you hadn't for the simple reason, I probably will have to retake it. Oh well! As for what it is... I have no idea. I guess it could best be described as a street ornament.
