robertfarnham 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Yes, I know there are no catchlights - I acutually planned that, believe it or not. Please critique. Link to comment
billkantor 0 Posted September 23, 2007 It's appropriate! Judging from her tattoos, piercings, jewelry, and dress, I don't think she wants you to look in her eyes. The lighting seems a bit harsh but maybe that is appropriate too. Nice portrait. Bill Link to comment
jimbakerphotography 0 Posted September 23, 2007 i agree with bill... catchlights seems more like an 'elegant' portrait thing... i think the lighting could be even harsher to fit the mood... i'd like to see the background darker too jim baker Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted September 23, 2007 I'm just going to ditto everyone else about the catchlights and even though the light might be hard - she has a hard appearance and so it suits the image very well. The shadows from her eyelids and eyelashes have fallen perfectly on her face. The bright patch on her front forearm seems distracting to me but mostly because I don't know what it is that's causing it. But hey - so what - I love your work and this piece no less so! Love it! Love the model! Link to comment
robertfarnham 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Jan, I believe the bright patch is a scar from a removed tattoo, but I'd have to ask her to be sure. Jim, I'll be posting more...some with a black background. Thanks Link to comment
