The sad truth.

I live about twenty miles from Clovis, Ca. Not long ago a family there just lost their second son to this stupidity. They have one left and he is in the military too. Yes, they went willingly. But it is so amazing to me that they support the madness and hold no malice for those who put their children in harm's way. I cannot imagine that kind of loss. But neither can I imagine not being outraged by the stupidity of our government. Forgive my anger.

David, nothing to forgive - I share your anger. Yes, there is an enemy out there, but it was not Iraq. Americans were duped, and some still are. In the meantime we destroyed a country and killed, maimed and displaced millions of its citizens. All this at an enormous cost to our own country. In the meantime the Carlyle Group, Haliburton and the likes are making a massive fortune. Your anger is well justified. Those, who do not feel that way, have not been paying attention.
