leo burkey 0 Posted September 21, 2007 A lazy hazy day of fall at Yosemite. Just a peaceful quiet landscape. Link to comment

billkantor 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Nicely done. Looks like you retained details throughout--spakling highlights, mysterious shadows. This works very nicely from a compositional standpoint. I wonder, however, if you might have a more dynamic image if you put the river bank below center. Just a thought, I don't know what is below so perhaps this was a consideration at the time. Outstanding image sensitively done and well executed. Cheers, Bill Link to comment
corbin 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Great details and great range of tones, both in the shadow areas and in the highlights. A very Romantic image. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Zone II to Zone VIII1/2, or even Zone IX; you got 'em all here, Amigo. What is quite intriguing to me is how the composition very much supports the way my eye travels through the full tonal range of this image. The image is really bisected almost equally top and bottom and side to side; with the darker tones around the perimeter and funneling the eye to the center mid-point and horizontal line containing the higher Zone values. Did you leave your tripod holes well-marked so that I can try this shot the next time I am in the Valley? This photograph could be included in a textbook on composition and exposure values. Excellent work, Leo; and very representative of your attention to detail, technical perfection, and the artist in you! Cheers! The Bear Link to comment
