whydangle 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Thanks for looking. This is the Cherohala Skyway, which bridgesCherokee National Forest in Tennessee and Nantahala National Forest inNorth Carolina, hence the name Cherohala. Less traveled than the BlueRidge Parkway and certainly as dramatic. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 28, 2007 Mark, Looks like this one was taken at the time of day generally considered 'worst light' (mid day). However, it is a beautifully balanced & composed offering. You have done wonderfully by showing only a sliver of sky (all that's necessary here). To ice the cake you have the highly sought after 'S' curve (off center, at that) and the gorgeous punchy colours of Velvia. Had there been 10 other photographers at the same location taking a shot at the same time of day my bet is this example would be at the top of the stack of results.
