pnital 36 Posted September 18, 2007 A scene from the dance " Concerto for a Band and four Dancers", Thanks for your thoughts. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Reminds me of an earlier post from you with the dancer and musician...this one is closer and therefore more intimist...I like the grace and lightness of the expression... Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Beautiful and dramatic. I love the warm, rich tones and the way you've balanced out the photo, pairing the singer with musician. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Interesting the way you've captured the dancer and the musician. Each concentrating in their own space. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted September 19, 2007 The duo balances the composition,Pnina. Very good composition, light and tone. Link to comment

adan1 0 Posted September 20, 2007 The graceful pose and pairing with the musician is genial. What a contrast this is. The musician is sitting down motionless while the dancer is so expressive. Beautiful work. Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted September 20, 2007 Pnina, excellent composition. Her pose is perfect and I think that the out of focus musician adds greatly. Very good light. Link to comment

jim kerr 0 Posted September 21, 2007 Hi Pnina, I have found that, even though I am not much into high class dance, where the photgraphs are done very well, I can get a great deal of enjoyment from them......Jim Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted September 21, 2007 Superb photograph, dear Pnina. A delight of scene, light and tones. The composition and her pose are unique. High quality work! Congrats! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 22, 2007 A classic pose, Pnina my dear, but for me the musician provides the counterpoint that makes this composition work so well. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 22, 2007 You've used warm tones here in a very warmly-lit situation to great effect. I also feel an ironic coldness. The objective stance you've taken as photographer and the separation between the two figures provides a coldness to offset the dance and music. His gaze at her bridges some of that distance but also emphasizes it. This, to me, is a study in contrasts, not just a simple image. There is movement and stillness and I get a deep sense of longing and distance. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Very nice composition. The picture flows as effortlessly as the dancer, with lovely earth tones and a cascade of lovely light. Well done, Pnina. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 22, 2007 Thanks to all of you!it was interesting to read your impressions. Jack, counterpoint IS the right definition. you always find the right words as well.... and Fred, your interpretation is right as there are some more scene of that kind in the dance, the separation /cooperation between the two jenre.. I will upload another one that has a scene of that type, I wonder what you will think of this one. If you will feel the same coldness. Stay tuned.... Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted October 6, 2007 Love how his gaze and her expressiveness dramatically reduces the distance between them!!! The light on her is very flattering to her figure and the texture of the dress. Beautiful composition! Regards. Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted June 8, 2008 Well balanced composition. Light and tones are absolutely fabulous. The blurred background just improves what was already a very good image. Congrats, my dear. Link to comment
