Cherlyn, the composition of this image is good; I like the simplicity of the plain branches against the sky, although I think the sky may be a little blown out, its not to bad. Your framing is good too.

 

The thing that throws me however, is the title. This barren tree with white, snow-capped mountain looking clouds with dark stormy clouds at the top makes me think of this as an image from the dead of winter and not the cool, crisp colorful vibrant time of Fall.

 

I really do like the image with the lines of the tree against the clouds.

I like this very much Cherlyn. Very simple composition but very effective. The image to me has lots emotional impact, the nearly monochromatic background, the naked branches against the sky, the light in the clouds all bring back memories of late fall. Very nice. Regards - michel

Incredible beautiful!

Fine work! To me, this is a perfect showing of the desolate feeling of the fall. Those heavy clouds and the barren tree, as if the clouds are bringing the endless isolation of the dim light and cold rain. This shows the other side of the fall, not the coloured and joyful side.
