Beautifully done. I like the softing effect of the high contrast. My only complaint is that the photo is a bit large for my screen (some of us still use 800 x 600 screen res!).

nice composition. The lighting is much too harsh though. Looks like flash bounced from directly overhead? The lighting for this picture needs to be much softer. Available window light; flash or strobe bounced into an umbrella, flash bounced off a wall or a ceiling farther back so it can diffuse more, reflector from below to add some fill, something.

This nice intimate shot done with softer light would be much better IMO.

want to thank bob for the comments- but i should have explained (perhaps), the shot was taken outside on a pretty bright day...

Very nice photo. Perhaps fill-flash would have helped even out the highlights, which are a little blown out. But that's trivial, the emotive content is there. If you found my comments useful, please view and rate and.or comment on my pictures. I'm new to photo.net.
