First, let me thank you for posting the images from the protest. I think they are acting out an American tradition of speaking out to the government. It doesn't hurt that I agree with them either. In this one I think you have captured well the sense of tremendous activity. There is kind of an emotional cacophony that includes but is not limited to, anger, remorse, regret, mourning and outrage.

Thank you so much for your comment, David. Yes, all of the emotions you described were certainly present at this gathering and the march, and people came from all over the nation to express them.

These are important images in a powerful series. The mainstream media still gives short shrift to such protests. I'm glad you've posted these shots. I'm also glad they're such good pictures. Bravo!

Thank you, Joseph. There was lots of media out there, but very little reporting. I am afraid our so called 'liberal media' is nothing but a myth. I appreciate your comment. Barb :)

Barb, As a longtime member of the now increasingly servile press corps (a former member, deeply disturbed by what's happened), I fully share your concern. That's why I left, and that's why I so appreciate work like yours. Warmest regards, Joe

Thanks, Joseph, and I agree. Our mainstream press has become lethargic and sheeplike, and - in my humble opinion - I don't think a Woodward and Bernstein would be able to get the Washington Post to cover their story today. We are in a sad state of affairs. Warm greeting from Florida, Barb

The other shots are good images of people carrying signs; this one tells the viewer of your series why and gives a glimpse of what the protesters are there for. I'm glad you posted these, I didn't even know this was going on.

Kirk, thank you...and I do not blame you for not knowing this was going on. Tens and tens of thousand of people came to Washington to protest and were more or less ignored by our press. But apparently Britney Spears is more important - what do I know. Thanks for stopping by. Barb :)
