Thanks for your critique and encouragement. By cleaner bacground do you mean not so much there? Please elaborate if you have the time. I still have the RAW file to mess around with. And this guy goes to work every day so I can try again from a different vantage point. Cheers -

Personally i wouldnt do anything for this, maybe would try to get the bird pop out more by lowering the exposure and trying to get the bird "texture" better visible. Or if you really have chance to meet this "worker" another day, try to get some simplier background to work with. Great shot still. Best regards Tero.

Thanks for your input and compliment. In the last week, this guy has sat on our dock every evening. When I approach to set up my shot, ever so quiety, he's off like a rocket. So I guess I'll work with the RAW file taking your suggestions.

I would just make the bg some solid pastel color.....Although I usually don't, but thats just because I'm too lazy.

Thanks for stopping by. It's not that I'm lazy - I just can't do a good job of selecting only the bird. The tail feathers especially are so fine that it's nearly impossible. Next bird. Cheers -
