Digital Sketch of Ethan. This was created in Corel Painter after changing it to B&W. Please realize this is a really small version because I felt it was better to get the overall feel. If you want

Thanks all. I just got this back from the Printer. Had it done on Epson Art paper. It turned out absolutely wonderful. Just what I wanted. Now if I can just remember exactly how I did it :)

Jayme, you are really doing well with Corel. I must admit that I was intimidated by the program. Your results are just great -- a real joy.

Have a great Thanksgiving. My best to Bardstown. I'll have to make it through there again one of these days.

Yup, it looks like a sketch alright. But it looks like a sketch with a layer of pencil strokes in a diagonal direction over the top of the original pencil sketch. If you want that effect it is up to you, but I think it would look better without it (unless your imitating rain, in that case make him look wet).

Great job though. Really nice image.

Thanks Jan & Van.

Van- As I am sure you realize this is a compressed JPEG. The JPEG just can't compare to the TIFF file. When I had the TIFF file printed professionally on Epson's Fine Art paper, it turned out beautifully. The diagonal lines were applied individually by hand, by me, in Corel Painter. While I agree that in the compressed JPEG these lines look like a PS line or rain filter, I assure you they are not. In the end, the TIFF file lines appear very realistic, because they are real :) Changing this image to a sketch image took about 8 hours. Obviously, I'm a little slow :)
