rob wray 0 Posted September 17, 2007 Yep it looks like a sketch and a pretty good one at that. I have attached one I did with PhotShop Rob Link to comment

Guest Posted September 28, 2007 Love it! Looks more like a sketch than a photograph. Excellent work. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks all. I just got this back from the Printer. Had it done on Epson Art paper. It turned out absolutely wonderful. Just what I wanted. Now if I can just remember exactly how I did it :) Link to comment
johne37179 29 Posted November 15, 2007 Jayme, you are really doing well with Corel. I must admit that I was intimidated by the program. Your results are just great -- a real joy. Have a great Thanksgiving. My best to Bardstown. I'll have to make it through there again one of these days. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted November 23, 2007 Yup, it looks like a sketch alright. But it looks like a sketch with a layer of pencil strokes in a diagonal direction over the top of the original pencil sketch. If you want that effect it is up to you, but I think it would look better without it (unless your imitating rain, in that case make him look wet). Great job though. Really nice image. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Thanks Jan & Van. Van- As I am sure you realize this is a compressed JPEG. The JPEG just can't compare to the TIFF file. When I had the TIFF file printed professionally on Epson's Fine Art paper, it turned out beautifully. The diagonal lines were applied individually by hand, by me, in Corel Painter. While I agree that in the compressed JPEG these lines look like a PS line or rain filter, I assure you they are not. In the end, the TIFF file lines appear very realistic, because they are real :) Changing this image to a sketch image took about 8 hours. Obviously, I'm a little slow :) Link to comment
