jan_piller 0 Posted September 17, 2007 Beautiful tonality and colour. I love the little guy running through the image - wish you had got a bit more stop action on him but still a great image! Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted September 18, 2007 I too love the image, but have to say that I like the motion of the little boy. It is real, the adults sitting waiting on the child to stop....almost doesn't happen! I think it shows lots of youthful energy and plenty of pride and patience. Beautiful lighting by the way. clivefox 1 Posted September 18, 2007 Michael, What a wonderful country we live in, who would think this is the middle of Brisbane. I love the synergy of feeling and motion plus traditional pose in this shot. My only comment would be to remove the old palm fronds from behind the ladies head to place more emphasis on the group. michaelhills 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Thank you, all :) Yes, motion blur is liked by some and not others. Totally cool either way. Personally, in this capture I deliberately slowed the shutter speed to create motion for the boy to (hopefully) symbolise youth and a zest for life... Yup, those palm fronds will have to be addressed. Clive, Brisbane is a wonderful city to live in - no doubt about it. I only wish it did not get so hot at times ;) Link to comment
nhut-nguyen 0 Posted December 14, 2008 Micheal, I stumbled across your portfolio and this image struck me the most. I love the color you have here, and the motion blur of the child, what a great way to express youthfulness. The composition and the dof are excellent too. Best Regards from Southern California.
