Is wow! This is excellent! I do wish I could see the tips of the wings but the way you have it makes it look like it's coming out of the photo. Great job!!

This is a fabulous capture. Did you choose to crop the full wingspan, or was this the full frame? A spectacular shot, David.

As far as raptors go, I happen to have a soft spot for the osprey. (if i knew how to attach a photo here, I would, but you can see my osprey shot on my portfolio page. Please comment if you like.)

This deserves to be one of the top photos. All I can concentrate on is the piercing eyes. I see the wingspan issue that others are talking about, however to get this close, I think you chose well. Awsome photo for sure.

Between you and Jody Melanson, I'm absolutely blown away by your shots of raptors in flight. I think I'd have to have one taxidermied and hanging by wires to get this.

I like the choice to crop out the wing tips, it gives the impression that the owl is coming right straight through the screen. Well done.

You know, my favorite raptor is an owl. May be not this one because we don?t have this kind down here, but of course this is a very handsome guy! great job. jc

Hi dave, this is truly a master piece. i like the eye to lens contact with the raptor, lovely work dave. There isn't much to say about a shot like that except BRAVO, and of course a bit of jealousy from my side:))

Congratulation for a great capture. Super sharp having in mind that a 500mm lens was handheld. Excellent !

Gotta like those eyes great capture ! You must have had the mouse on your lens ! By the way is this a Falconer shot ? They do have Owls like this in captivity ,( that surprises me ) I never see them in the wild and few Owls for that matter . I spoke to a Falconer in southern Ontario and they have over 100 birds (Rapters) that people often photograph even snowy Owls, Ive never been to one , but it is tempting , but expensive too!

PS Congrats on N. G. I hope they pay well !
