What a wonderful color palette you have here. It looks so clean. The vignetting works very well here. Great processing my friend.

Hello David, how are you? Very nice having your comment here as I've just posted this one. Thank you. No big thing, you know, just a little dodging and burning.

Very, very nice. The colors and the light a delicious visual treat.

Oh, yes, a set of pictures well worth waiting for. This one treads that delicate knife edge between genre's and seems to stake out its own territory. The vignetting is perfect in this case and the treatment of color is superb.

love this. the color and processing work give this a wonderful period feel. a real stand-out!

Exceptional. Crisp and retro. Modern and moody. Lit and shadowed. An extremely effective, fantastic capture. (I'm not allowed to rate 7/7, though I tried).

I like the retro mood of the neon letter signs and the strong graphics of the image..the light and vignetting effect are superb Laurent...reminds me of american images of the 70's, those neon letter signs are inspired from the US I guess at a time when everything coming from the US was revered in Europe...it has changed somehow...

The more simple a subject, the more difficult it is to bring out its character but you did well here. Simply play of light & shadows, lines & colours make this an exqusite image.

Whoa Laurent! I am a bit late in seeing this, however it is perhaps one of my favorite photographs. As has been said by another of our mutual friend's "You struck gold on this one".

 

Interesting enough, I came to this image via clicking on Kent B's name to see what he was up to and saw that he had made some comments today so I went to the first one and came across this, truly one of the best, man it is sharp!

Thanks a lot for your kind comments. Kent, glad you like it, I've always had a passion for Americana stuff. Besides, I used to do a lot of drawing and watercolor painting years ago and the freedom offered by digital showed me how fun it was to try and bring back the same kind of feeling with photography. My PS skills are still very poor and I should really get into it deeper.
