Wonderful light and composition in this b/w format

All of the best

Great use of light in this scene. I am also intrigued by the tension between the two bodies. The one on the right is assertive while the left one is subjugating.

A beautiful and quite interesting b&w scene, dear Pnina. The poses, expressions, light and contrast are great. Excellent photograph! Regards!

This goes so nicely with your other dance sequences. I feel the drama, like the way the light catches the foreground woman's eye, and appreciate the way the background seems to provide a sense of motion and an upward direction to support the strongly-lit woman's gaze. Very arty photo.

Not easy to expose but you have done very well, Pnina, as in your dance series. Their expressive body language & strong facial expression already narrate a story.

I like the expression and play of light/shadow...should not have been easy to expose due to the light and movement...the expression is really tensed and you captured a dramatic moment...

I've come back to this several times, not knowing what to say, although appreciative of your technique. The harsh lighting creates such drama, particularly with the right figure, whose beautiful face becomes almost skull-like in comparison to the more even lighting of her partner. This almost seems like one soul divided against herself.

Thanks to all of you!

Jeff, don't forget that it is a dance of first week of "World creation"( the name of the dance), everything is dramatic, the light as well....

Dance is one of the hardest performing arts to photograph well. Your work is excellent. It depicts more than a static moment by capturing the extension and flow of the dancers' energy. That is rare and special. Regards...

I love the intense expressions of the models. Pnina, can you share with me more about the technique of taking photos in the stage setting like this?. My recent work of "Pole Dancing" was taken with apeture priority and ISO 1600, hand-held. Obviously, you've done a great job on these photos. Warmly, Tanya.

Love how the light selectively "pulls" the faces out of the darkness. The control on DOF here really adds to the work. Very well captured, Pnina. Regards.
