henderson 0 Posted September 16, 2007 I'd like to credit Thomas McKown (http://photo.net/photos/thomasmckown) for the concept behind this shot. Thanks very much for your comments! Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted October 7, 2007 Scott, very good composition difficult to get right. What is particularly strong is the glow behind the trees. I wonder if a crop of some of the top would make the image even stronger. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted October 9, 2007 Super detail and I like the vertical comp. Great shot! Link to comment
henderson 0 Posted October 9, 2007 An interesting idea, Roger. Being into astronomy, I'd hate to cut off part of Cygnus, however if I did cut it off, and yet still managed to get the sky to go to black by the top of the frame, it could end up being more powerful. Another option would be to reshoot with a purely horizontal shot, which is mostly about the trees silhouetted against the skyglow with stars above them, and isn't about the Milky Way as in this shot. Thanks everyone, for the comments! Link to comment
