Could've been any larger? Where were you, on the moon? :) It's indeed a lot of blue there, but the image is not boring at all.

I would crop out the land at the bottom and have only empty blue space. Nice shot. Jim.

A very nice "blue space". I would either add more of the tree in the foreground, or show no foreground land and compose graphically with the boat coming around the corner.

I think the space works well and the boat nicely balances the tree in the foreground. Good crop!

No, i wouldn't crop out the land on the bottom, without it, the photo would not be as strong as it is now (it gives perspective, everyone can take a photo of a ship in the middle of a lake or an ocean, making it very ordinary except for the height), the land gives the photo "support".

 

The space between makes the whole point for the cruiseship :) Love it
