katzpjs 50 Posted September 14, 2007 I like the way the sky pattern suggests a lazy-S above the trees. It is that feature that caused me to open the thumbnail. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted September 14, 2007 Shawn, you d'ont like this photo ? Could you tell me why ? Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted September 15, 2007 The only critique I have with this image is that it is way too dark. There are a bunch of detail in the image that could be seen if its were highlights were enhanced and the image were lightened. See my modified image below. I'm not suggesting that my version is a better image, but I'm only attaching it to show how much more detail could be brought out in the image. Someplace between your version and my version is probably a better image than either of us have posted. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted September 15, 2007 Thank you Shawn for your answer. I agree with you, there is more details in your version which is brighter. But in my opinion there is a problem. As said in the title (Nuit tombante means Falling night), this photo is taken after the sunset and your version seems to be taken in broad daylight. I have taken other shots of this place by day, and for this one I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the falling night, which is lost in your version. I agree that I can lighten mine a bit, but not so much. Link to comment
