Interesting, the ratings for this image are all over the place. Maybe it's one of those, either you love it or hate it things? :)

The rating are almost always all over the place unless it is a certain kind of formulaic image. This is not one of those.

This is really great Todd. The ratings are way to low. Where are peoples sense of humor. This is actually orginal, you should get a 7 just for that. Your artistic eye and understanding of lighting and exposure are very inspiring. What did you use for lighting? Looks like a speedlight. I would love to here the details on the photo. Thanks,Laura Larson

I guess there is just no accounting for taste! :)

This was done with a 15mm fisheye on a 5D using 1 580EX via sync chord with a mini softbox velcroed to it. I underexposed the background on purpose. Shot in maual mode. That's about it. :)

Thanks

This is hilarious. Perfectly exposed & composed. Very creative. Great advertisement for Speedo goggles :) What's next?.... a fish-eye of some guy in Speedo swim trucks :)Well done.

Ridiculously beautiful. The distortion from the fisheye is perfect for this shot. It's very eye catching. The lighting REALLY emphasizes the subjects, especially his glasses, eyes and nose.

Anybody who cant see this is a great photo is a tool. Maybe its goofy, which is only a problem to people with poles stuck up them, but technically it is unassailable. Great lighting, I always love crystalline/glassy effects, and the blue eyes complementing the beautiful darker background of the pool is stunning. Many things in this photo work. Great expression as well.

I don't like it. While it's true that rules exist to be broken, here the affect of the ultra-wide angle is absolutely unpleasant.

Like Luis, I don't like it. I find it disconcerting and surreal. But that the photograph has the power to invoke this strong feeling means that you did a good job. Well done, Todd!
