Nice picture, and nice composition. This place is great. Using a grey filter is a great idea (need a good tripod because of wind!). The smooth effect resulting of this is pretty ok, but I would have prefered a bit more exposure time I think.

The colors are especially beautiful! I'd like more rocks on the foreground though...

Did you try a black and white, with a "dramatic sky" ?

Thanks for your comments.

> Thomas, I would have preferred a longer time too, nevertheless in full daylight (overcast, ok, but day!), with a polarizer (+2 stops), a 8x ND filter (+3 stops), and another 4x grad filter to darken the sky by two stops, 20 seconds was the longest I could go. unfortunately, I didn't carry with me a welder glass... ;-)

Cheers, Paolo

The use of long exposure time makes this photo really unique. Diffused watr and clouds add much aesthetic value.

Congratulations!

I see Paolo :)

Anyway, 'was only a suggestion. It's a lot easier to critique behind the screen than to photograph! A +9 stops grey filter would have been top notch.
