stp 6 Posted September 9, 2007 I like the smoothness in the sky and water, contrasting with a beautiful landform. Great image. Link to comment

yves_p 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Beautiful image. Interesting composition with large empty green area on the right counterbalancing the high cliff on the left. Interesting colours. Two (probably) silly) questions: why 20 sec exposure and why so many filters? Cheers. Yves P. (http://imagesyves.net) Link to comment
paolo de faveri 1 Posted September 9, 2007 Thank you everybody for your comments. Yves, that's not a silly question at all. I wanted to have the sea looking as much smooth as possible, but I was in full daylight, as it was around 19:30 hours. Even with the overcasted sky, and even full stopping down the lens, the exposure time was only 1/2 seconds, a too fast time to move the sea surface. Using a polarizer and a 8x ND filter I gained 5 more stops, obatining therefore, with a slight over-exposure, 20 secs. Finally, I used a graduated filter to darken the sky, while keeping a correct exposure on the cliffs and the sea. Salut, Paolo Link to comment
