aslavihervuori 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Shoud there be tad more space in front of her eyes? I am not sure. There is something pleasing in your composition: it does not look right as there are almost disturbing element on right, low side but then again that side or corner creates nice counterweight for upper left side, where subject is. And lower right side is oof, it draws attention on her face, eyes. Whatever, I like this a lot and BW work looks good, too. No ratings, since I do not them anymore. a s l a Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted September 10, 2007 More space in front of her dreamy eyes? ...mmmh... not sure, I only can say that it is an heterodoxe framing and focusing with an appealing result, I am obligued to wander the image detail by detail meanwhile the construction take shape in my mind. Is strange, with a strange mood, yes, but with an absolutely captivating aesthetic. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted September 10, 2007 When I saw this image in a thumbnail, I was much pleased by it, but when I clicked the larger version, I'm not so sure. Such a lovely face and expressive eyes DESERVE not to compete with the distraction of the elbow in the lower right corner. And, I agree that more space in front of the eye is necessary. I hesitate to say more because I was not there when the picture was taken. Perhaps, something on the left side is even more distracting and had to be cropped out. And, as to the elbow, as someone who has photographed children a lot, I know how hard it is to ask them to stay still, so I'm not necessarily blaming this on the photographer. Still..., this is such a charming face, with such angelic expression that I cannot help but expect perfection in the rendering. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted September 14, 2007 I find this to be a compelling photo. You've done a perfect job of capturing how children can be lost in thought and in motion simultaneously, as if their bodies won't allow them to sit still to let the thoughts sink in. What a precious face. Large eyes, expressive. Beautifully done. Cheers. Link to comment
