bosshogg 4 Posted September 7, 2007 Dedicated to Fred Goldsmith. Back at you. If you can sell them for God, then you can sell them for country. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted September 7, 2007 Dave, You just keep rollin' along. Nice shot. But it doesn't look like Doc has much for sale. Regards, Joe Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 7, 2007 Yeah, you are right. There was nothing there for sale. I have just a few images left from my trip, and then I will have to start thinking about taking photos again. The mine is about to go dry on my once-in-a-lifetime trip. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 7, 2007 I hope you took this picture with your hand over your heart. No use for wobbly-kneed liberals in this neck of the woods. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted September 8, 2007 that's some extraordinary shingles on an ordinary building. See, the issue with flags on roofs like this is that birds can poop on them. And remember the Murphy's Law about overhead flying geese - the cleaner, or nicer, the roof or car is, the more poop it will acquire. I have an idea, and if I win a prize for drinking lots of V8, I will try it - making a house look like a big bird poop from the air. I bet ya it will stay clean forever. I am going on a week-long trip to north-eastern Ontario tomorrow. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 8, 2007 Yeah, I almost had to buy one of those flags that you stick in your window, and is held in place by rolling the window up. But then maybe not. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 8, 2007 Have a great trip. Look forward to seeing the results. Before you go, apropos your comment, you might want to check this out. I thought it was hilarious. http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/the_dilbert_blog/2007/09/odds-of-being-s.html Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2007 Thanks for the dedication. Now this is how to do it! Between the two of us, God and country. Can stop right there. Your sky tells me not to take this too seriously, just something whimsical about it. Of course, I would have known that without the sky too. Strictly elemental, you are teaching me a lot about composition and I'm all eyes for that. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted September 9, 2007 Yes, I thought it was a good match to your image. We've covered about all that's important in this nation anymore. We sell hot dogs, cars, go on walks, run, and races, rally and do every human activity, and all for God (ours of course) and country. Perhaps we should mount the two images side by side. As for technical aspects, you are correct that I attempted to make it a parody and went for garish as the modus operandi. Link to comment
florainer 0 Posted January 18, 2008 American patriotism is something, that seems so strange to me... if anybody did this here, he will immediately be sent over the cuckoos nest. Good fun! Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 18, 2008 In your country they display more common sense. Nationalism, patriotism and theism, are rampant in this country. Only upside to that is it makes for a lot of good pictures of human folly. I live for those. Link to comment
