Deployed wings did I say earlier...well a fantastic capture...what would I pay and what an experience it would be not to feel the gravity in such a natural way sometimes...

Fantastic capture. Some others have suggested to me to give more room for the bird to fly out-perhaps a little less cropping on the right? Congrats.

This is such a unique shot. The pelican looks like he/she is leaping instead of flying. There's a lot of nice detail in the feathers and face, keeping a sense of personality.

I should have noticed this one also. I like this one better. A graceful pelican!

There seems to be a consensus that this one is better. Perhaps, it

is the orthodoxy that wants the inclusion of the whole bird,

perhaps, it is the awkward balletic pose of the bird. But,

personally, I like the other version better, perhaps because it is

closer and more intimate. Still, it is hard to go against popular

opinion.

As you've noticed I always like to stop by and see what you've been up to. It amazes me that a bird as clumsy on its feet and goofy looking as a pelican could be captured in a moment of grace. Great shot, nice detail.
