rogerleekam 0 Posted September 4, 2007 A beautifully composed image with excellent light coming from he left. The shadowed area doesn't bother me because it serves to highlight the right side of the boy's face. I like his expression of intense concentration and the skin tones. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted September 4, 2007 Thanks Ger, this is from Christmas, his watch was his favorite gift. I hate that the part of the picture that is dark is not pleasing to you. It is the back of a leather chair. I thought it really nice that the light really was concentrated on him. I did not even notice it. Roger thanks so much for your comment and visit. J Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Janis, nicely timed shot (ha, ha)...but seriously, you caught a wonderfully intent expression. I love window light and the leather chair and the bead board in the bg is a bonus. Both make a wonderful setting for this shot. The dark shadow on the back of the chair doesn't bother me a bit. :) Leslie Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted September 12, 2007 If this were an oil painting, this is exactly how one would manage the lighting to make it as luminous as it is. The use of that great shadow is very effective in distinctly shaping the face. A gorgeous photo. (By the way, I love your new quote from Spurgeon). Link to comment
