dennis jones 0 Posted September 3, 2007 but in the evening we need an air traffic controller here with all of the BIG dragonflies.... Just wish I knew where they nest... Nice color on this one...BTW, #19775, I'm getting close... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 4, 2007 I noticed one tree in the yard had a bunch of these big dragonflies sitting there. They didn't seem to mind me taking their pictures. When I was doing that, I noticed a baby dove on a branch. I guess it was attempting to fly and wasn't quite sure of itself. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted September 5, 2007 Hi Kim, I think there are certain times of the day when they just like to sit. Very nice balance and color in this image. Link to comment

lbattjes 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Kim, this is really lovely. The wings are draped over it like a cloak...a delicate and beautiful cloak. Nice comp. Leslie by the way, it's getting close...I'm # 19,882! Link to comment
glogower 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Love the dof and your composition here. Very well put together. The quality of light is wonderful. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 8, 2007 Thanks for visiting, guys! So far, GREAT ratings - a 5/3 and a 3/3! :) Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Rats! I missed it by 11! :) Congrats on the 20,000 visits. woohoo! Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted September 9, 2007 That's what's so crazy about the rating system. How would you counter to that 5/3 person? What is the definition of 'original'? Nobody else shot this dragonfly on this branch but yes, many people take this very same type of pose and crop so...?The only think I don't care for is the border, it's not very enhancing for the image, IMHO. kslonaker 0 Posted September 9, 2007 My 20,000th visitor was someone I know - Walt Tatulinski. He's been a long-time commenter on my photos since I joined PN, so it was nice to be able to send something in appreciation for his contributions to my work. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted September 15, 2007 Somehow the 3/3 dropped off - oh well, doesn't really matter in the big picture of life, I guess. :) Thanks for visiting, everyone. Link to comment
