Ha Ha......

funny enough I've just been reading about specular highlights.

I assume this was lit by a flash..if so try this and see if this improves the image.. You can see the specular highlight in the bottles..

Set the flash on zoom and set it too its widest setting and bounce the light into something (ceiling or something) and see if it reduces that specular in the glass.

Also moving in closer to the objects will increase the relative size of the light, make it softer and improve the light on the background. I know you might not be able to move in closer as you wanted to get all the bottles in the frame but i'd be interested to see you try it out and see what the difference in this will be..

That is quite a collection Dennis. There is nothing like a good rootbeer. Looks like I've tried maybe 1/4 of those you have there.

I agree with toning down the light a bit, and I would crop out part of the bottom, just make the image long horizontally.

That's amazing!! What a great collection! I rmemeber Dad's!! And I had no idea A & W root beer ever came in a bottle! I only ever remembered the frosted mugs!! I think I would have lined them up on something else though for the sake of the photo as this feels too much like a snapshot.( the compsotion seems too cluttered with all the lines) Maybe take them all outside and arrange them on a "root" that's sticking out out of the ground or a fallen tree or something - and maybe where there's more contrast for the darker bottles. Just a thought.... Now send me some some buckin rootbeer!! hahaha

Dennis, this fits the theme well. I'm sure you can have fun with arrangements of these bottles. Maybe around a frosted mug or something. O
