Lovely moody shot , but I'm a little puzzled at the apparent barrel distortion of the tree trunks - or were they like that ?

Wonderfully done. Superb comp and lighting the balance between the warm and the cool tones is very well percieved. You've got a real winner here, Henri. congrats, rek

Great perspective and wonderful colours, i like how you've used a degradant filter to avoid the sky overexposure. Congrats Fabio

I like the warmth of the light and colors...the composition with the perspective of the trees...as a constructive comment I feel the perspective is so strong and the vanishing point so close to the border it shifts the view outside at the detriment to the landscape view as a whole and castle in particular...(just my personal opinion, maybe I am wrong).

Thank you all for your comments.

Walter, the distortion of the tree trunk is because of the wide angle (Sigma 10-20 mm).

Fabio, I can't remember if I used a gradient filter. It looks as if it were, because the grey on the clouds, but I have only note down I used the polariser filter.

Laurent, personnaly it has not this effect on me.

Merci Chris.

Qu'est-ce que tu as ecrit apres "ces trois bandes" ? Quand on met les accents ils sont remplaces par des ? et la lettre qui suit est supprimee.

Et tu n'est pas au bout de tes surprises avec photo.net.

I think it is unacceptably stupid that in the 21st century there are internet sites that do not accept "les accents" (among many other characters) -- not that I know which one to put where, but for those who do... Nice curves by the trees, by the way. Is it a chronic wind effect or is is some (successful) distortion of the lens? the shadow in the foreground accounts for the first hypothesis.

Thank you Manolis. This problem with accents don't seems to be the problem of the photo.net direction.

about the curve of the poplars, it is due to the wide angle lens distorsion, not to the wind.

Yes! This is one of your best shots! The sky is great, the composition unique. I hope that you hang this on your wall, blown up way huge!!
