Taken this while it was raining "horizontally", due to a strong wind

blowing at around 100 Kph. A beautiful place on the eastern coast of

the Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy, near to Utah Beach.

Bonjour Claude, je parle un peu francais, but don't ask me to write in french, please! :-) Unless you want start laughing today and stopping tomorrow for reading my very very very bad written french.

I've quickly had a look to your homepage and seen you are from Grandcamp. It's really a beautiful town, with a wonderful pier! I spent half of a memory card shooting that pier. I was there just a couple of weeks ago, 15th or 16th august, I don't remember exactly. The weather was very bad, as you know very well, and the contrast between the black sky, the green sea and the wooden pier was just intriguing. I have at least a couple of decent view of this subject, and will post them very soon. I went also to Goury, visiting the Cap de la Hague, and had a tour of the 1944 landing beaches. Impressive, really impressive. Normandy is a wonderful region, and the weather conditions were great to fully appreciate the high contrasts nature creates under certain conditions. Even if that 70-80-100 KPH wind wasn't really comfortable!

The only part I didn't enjoyed very much was the Suisse Normand. Maybe because I live right besides the Alps, I was expecting some more mountains, or at least... one! :-)
