ldavidson 4 Posted August 25, 2007 The view of Adams Lake from a remote logging road. There were children fishing below. When they caught a fish they left it on their deck and ran away, stopped and watched, within a few minutes a Bald Eagle swooped down and picked it up. Unfortunatly I didn't get the shot I would have liked and the eagle in this was taken from another image and transplanted. Link to comment
clayton_berg 0 Posted August 25, 2007 Nice image, and good post processing. I wouldn't have guessed you pasted the eagle in if not for your honesty. Link to comment

henrimanguy 0 Posted August 25, 2007 Nice landscape and good composition. It seems to be taken in late afternoon but it seems to be a bit too dark to me. No ? Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted August 25, 2007 Clayton, Thanks. I realize that there are some who don't like or approve of Photoshop work. I also understand and respect the old school purists who want to stay true to the original art and craft of photography, and believe that a good photo should stand alone, unadulterated. I don't have a problem with it, so I mind 'admitting' that I use it. Warm regards. Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted August 25, 2007 Antanas, Thank you very much. Hasan, Thanks for your comments. William, Thank you! I do have a lot of fun with my camera. I am lucky to be here in B.C. where I am always inspired by the landscape. Henri, You are right, this was taken late in the afternoon. I like the dark, rich blues and greens of the late afternoon and early evening. I also like the softer light. In the morning and early afternoon you can get brighter and lighter images which is fine too, but to me it is a little harsh. I just like the mystery of the shadows and darkness. A matter of preference I suppose. Thanks for looking and commenting. I always appreciate it. Regards. Link to comment
andrea allison 0 Posted August 25, 2007 Absolutely beautiful Linda ! Great composition ,love the clarity and color. This would make a gorgeous post card for Adams Lake. I just got back from the Caribou and I am still in awe with the lakes up there . Nicely done Linda!! pn won't let me give 7/7 which it deserves... Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted August 25, 2007 Andrea, Thank you, and welcome back. I'm looking forward to seeing your shots of the Caribou. I say this all the time; I feel so lucky to be living here in B.C. surrounded by so much unspoiled beauty. Adams Lake is virtually undeveloped, there really isn't any tourism to speak of, just a handful of summer cottages and homes. They probably want to keep it a secret. Link to comment
toloduran 0 Posted August 26, 2007 Un bello paisaje. Estupenda composicion, luz y colores. Felicidades. Un saludo. -Tolo. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 27, 2007 Linda, it is a nice landscape even without the eagle. I like the cold blue colors with the soft light a little warm in the BG. that is lighting the dark whole. maybe a bit more light will show more details of the surrounding. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted August 27, 2007 The lighting seems soft and glowing, but the colors are so crisp. Such a briskly beautiful photo, Linda. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted August 27, 2007 Pnina, Thank you. You are the second person who thinks it may be a bit too dark. I, personally, like dark, high contrast images, but maybe I should try lightening this one up a bit. Jeff, Thanks! "Briskly Beautiful" sounds good to me. I love a good alliteration. I'm glad you like it. Link to comment
